Helping Families Navigate the Boarding School Admissions Process
The boarding school journey is most effective when
built on a foundation of early planning. To ensure your family has a clear path forward, we invite you to schedule an introductory virtual meeting. This initial video call allows us to evaluate your needs and secure your place on our waitlist.
While we prioritize early-engagement families to maintain an stress-free experience, we do offer specialized, high-velocity support for late-cycle applicants when our schedule permits. Book your virtual strategy session today to begin.
Full application support and hourly consultation services are available. Rate information on request.

Taking the First Step
Our partnership begins with a Virtual Strategy Session, designed as a deep-dive introduction for students and their families. Our Process
Building a Customized Timeline
After the introductory session, the student receives a timeline with actionable steps and resources to stay on track with test preparation, school research, essays, interviews, recommendations, and application deadlines.
Testing Guidance
During the introductory session, we review appropriate tests (SSAT, ISEE, TOEFL, PSAT, AP/IB if applicable), recommend test dates, and develop a strategy for preparation. Test prep classes and tutors may be suggested if beneficial.
Resume & Student Profile Development
Students receive a resume / activity sheet tutorial to highlight strengths, character and achievements. Suggestions are provided for enrichment programs, leadership opportunities, community service, summer programs, and academy or athletic development.
Boarding School Selection
Choosing the right boarding school is a personal and family decision. We discuss factors such as:
-
Academic programs and learning support
-
Tuition, financial aid and scholarships
-
School culture and values
-
Geographic location and campus life
-
Arts, athletics and extracurricular offerings
-
Family support and long-term goals
Essay & Student Statement Guidance
Essay prompts and student statements are introduced early. Students discuss topics before writing. We offer an Essay Workshop for applicants—either in person or online—covering essay strategies, do's and don’ts, and voice development. Feedback on drafts is provided while ensuring the student's authentic voice remains intact.
Application Review & Recommendations
Students receive guidance on completing standard applications such as the SAO (Standard Application Online), Gateway to Prep Schools, or school-specific applications. We assist with:
-
Selecting appropriate recommenders (teachers, coaches, mentors)
-
Organizing deadlines
-
Reviewing applications for accuracy and completeness
Financial Aid & Scholarships
While we are not the primary source for financial aid, we help families review applications and essays for need-based aid and merit scholarships when applicable.
Interviews & Waitlist Strategies
Before school interviews or scholarship panels, students receive interview preparation and tips. If a student is waitlisted or deferred, we help create a thoughtful follow-up plan to communicate interest and updates to schools.
After Acceptance Advice
We are available to help families discuss final decisions, but the choice remains with the student and parents. This is an exciting and emotional time—closing one chapter and beginning another. Celebrate your child’s accomplishment, embrace the journey ahead, and congratulations on taking the next step in their education!
